2007 PURE STOCK

BODY

1. American made stock passenger automobile.
2. All bodies must be steel, no aluminum; floor pans must remain in car.
3. Stock spoilers ok.
4. No gutting of trunks, other than for adding fuel cells.
5. All hoods and trunks must be securely fastened and the back of hood must be sealed of from the drivers compartments.
6. No external rub rails allowed.
7. Must have a minimum of three windshield bars in front of driver.
8. All glass, plastic, upholstery, rear seat, mirrors, and chrome removed.
9. All door must be secured shut(welded or bolted,etc) No Chains
10. The front inner wheel wells may be removed, but not the rear wheel wells.
11. Fuel cells only
12. 4pt harness mounted to cage or frame.
13. After market nosepiece allowed for that style car.

    Frame

14. 101" minimum
15. Unibodies must be tied rear frame to front frame.
16. No station wagons, convertibles, trucks, four wheel drive or rear engines.
17. Bumpers must be in stock location.
18. Front and rear bumpers must be capped to fender the width of the bumper
19. No reinforcement of bumpers
20. Drive shaft loops required.

    Roll Cage

21. full perimeter of four roll cage with an X brace in rear and rear kickers must be used.
22. Roll bar padding required in drivers compartment.
23. Fire retardant padding recommended.
24. Must have tow hook in front and rear.
25. Front hoops are allowed.
26. May have two bars for protection in front of radiator, behind bumper, within confines Of body, no wider than stock frame.
27. Absolutely no square tubing or galvanized pipe allowed.
28. Fuel cell protection bar may be used, mounted frame rail to frame rail, no higher than The fuel cell and inside the trunk. Max 1.75 inch pipe.

    Battery

29. Battery must be in a marine type case securely mounted in away from the driver compartment.

    Engine, Transmission, and Carburetor

30. The engine must be stock for that model and make and in the original mounts.
31. Must have stock valve covers, no aluminum heads.
32. Must have cast iron or aluminum intake. Headers optional. No highrise intakes.
33. No aluminum flywheels. Aluminum radiators will be allowed.
34. All cars must run a two barrel or four barrel carburetor. May remove choke.
35. Transmissions Automatics with working torque converter. Transmission coolers may be used but may not be in drivers compartment. Standard transmissions with three or four speeds and have all gears working and single disc clutch mounted in stock location. Steel bell housing ok but no aluminum clutch parts or aluminum flywheel.

    Rear Ends

36. No quick-change devices in rear end or transmission.
37. 9in Ford rear-ends optional.
38. No traction control devices or lift bars of any kind.
39. No Heims joints of kind on rear ends.
40. No pull bars.
41. No J-bars or pan hard bars.
42. No weight jacks

    Tires

43. Maximum 8” rims and tires.
44. bead locks are optional, but only on right rear.
45. Any disagreement over technical questions or decisions will be resolved by the officials. When their decision is rendered, it is final andbinding and no further discussion will take place.
46. Cars may be divided into 2 fields or required to qualify for main event if field is deemed to large for track.
