RULES
2007 4 Cylinder Mini-Stocks
- Any four-cylinder production two wheel drive automobile. No convertibles or two seat sports car. Wheelbase must be in accordance with factor body specifications.
- If car used is manufactured without a full frame, frame must be tied together with a minimum of 2 X 3 box tubing between existing rear frame section. No other frame reinforcement allowed.
- Roll cage must be of four-post design with a minimum of three bars per door with racing seat and belts attached to roll cage. Roll cage must be constructed of at least 11/2 X .095 tubing and must be x-braced behind driver. Front and rear hoops are permitted but may not extend beyond the nose of car and must remain within trunk area. Roll cages not found to be safe will not be allowed to run.
- Doors must be welded shut. All glass must be removed and must have screen in windshield and have a drivers side working window net. Rear fender wells must stay intact. Wheel wells should be unaltered but may be trimmed for clearance. A complete bumper-to-bumper steel unibody must be retained. Hood and trunk be gutted. No bracing outside the body is permitted.
- The stock steel unaltered floor pan, firewall, must be retained. You may cut hole in trunk area to install fuel cell. Aluminum or steel must be added to cover holes in firewall and floor area. Car bodies must remain steel, and conform to original body style. No ALUMINUM BODIES.
- Must have an approved fuel cell. Fuel cells must be securely mounted to frame.
- Battery can be moved but must be enclosed in a marine type case and secured.
- Engine must be a 4-cyc stock appearing engine with stock type ignition system. Headers are permitted. 2-Barrel Carburetor only.
- Standard or automatic transmissions permitted. Stock clutch only.(Triple clutch allowed.) Must have working torque converter.
- Interchanging of rear ends is permitted as long as the stock mounting brackets and stock suspension of the car is attached. Stock rear ends may be locked.
- Tires no wider than 8 inches.
- Cars must have reinforced wheels with oversize lug nuts (1”).
- Car numbers must be at least 18” high on each side of car and on top.
- No alcohol fuel allowed.
- Must have drive shaft loop.
- No rub rails.
- Fire extinguisher with gauge within reach of driver.
- Fire suits are required.
- Any disagreement over technical questions or decisions will be resolved by the officials. When their decision is rendered, it is final andbinding and no further discussion will take place.
- Cars may be divided into 2 fields or required to qualify for main event if field is deemed to large for track.
